What’s the causes of the Malfunction Indicator Light on a 2003 PT Cruiser?
I have a 2003 PT Cruiser and the Malfunction Indicator Light has come on and won’t go off. I’ve tried the Gas Cap but, that’s not it. Want to know if there is other possible mechanical reasons for it to be on.

The malfunction indicator lamp in my car does not come on at all, but the other lights do. What happened?
I bought a 2000 Honda Civic recently, and now my inspection is coming up. I noticed the malfunction indicator lamp does not come on at all. The other lights do, so it’s not likely the dash or fuse. My car won’t pass inspection without that light. I have a feeling someone messed with the computer to screw it up. Is there a way to fix this, and do I have any legal recourse against this guy? Thanks.
It has an LED. There’s no burnt out bulb.
The light HAS to come on when you turn on the accesories, if only briefly. It then has to come off when you start the engine. If either of these things fail, the car will not pass inspection.
What could it mean if the Malfunction Indicator Light came on on my 2006 Dodge Stratus?
I would like only those who know and not any sarcastic answers. Our Stratus has 27,000 miles on it and we had it parked for over a week as we were gone. Upon starting it up again the Malfunction Indicator Light on and has stayed that way since. It runs the same great way it did before, so I am not sure why it would come on if it never came on before.
I am not a car expert, but the light is just a luminated light that looks like a transmission or engine.

What does the malfunction indicator light mean on a 2005 Hyundai Accent?
3 years ago when I first bought my car the malfunction indicator light went on and I had to pay $200 for what turned out to be a loose gas cap. To prevent such again I was wondering if someone could tell me how to correct this AND/OR what other actual serious problem might be occurring because this light is on.
