Jock Olson: Golf Drills to Correct Common Errors

As a recruiter for over 20 years, I have read THOUSANDS of resumes…perhaps even millions!  Still, it surprises me that with all the help out there to write resumes, people still make these three common formatting mistakes.
Mistake #1 – Typos
Even with all the grammar and spell checking features, people still make typos. 
Solution
I suggest you read your resume out loud, word for word.  Really look at each sentence and word to make sure it is correct.  You could also ask a trustworthy friend to look it over for you too and offer suggestions.
Mistake #2 – Using Personal Pronouns
Personal pronouns are words such as “I” or “we” or “my”.  A resume is intended to be a professional document written to represent a candidate – you!  You don’t want to come across as unprofessional or that you do not have good written communication skills. 
Solution
Try taking out all the “I’s” and “we’s”.  Sometimes if you simply take them out, the sentence still makes sense.  For example, “I sold more than 500 widgets per week” translates into “Sold over 500 widgets per week”.  This type of phrase works and is appropriate for your resume.  Second, replace “my” with “the”.  For example, “my team was responsible for designing all the code for a website” becomes “the team was responsible for designing all the coe for a website”.  It sounds more professional when you phrase it this way.
Mistake #3 – Too many key words
I’ve seen resumes where they spend an entire page on keywords so that their resume comes up in every search done by a resume database or the internet.  This is particularly true for technical resumes.  However, it is very unprofessional and quite frankly, annoying.  It doesn’t truly represent what skills you have and can confuse future employers.
Solution
Go over all of your key words and pick the skills in which you are at least intermediate skill level.  Select these as your top skills and make certain they are on your resume.  If you don’t have too many (say twenty or less) then go ahead and add the skills in which you are beginner or better. Unless you are a new college graduate, do not list skills that you have not used in your previous jobs.
Now you know what three common resume format mistakes are and how to fix them.  Polish up your resume so that your skills, education and background stand out, NOT your unprofessionalism!

This can cause cancellation of your membership even. So do have a control over your sexual fantasies while you talk with a person on line. In the beginning, this wouldn’t work much.
Do not lie about your relationship status. You do not going to gain anything from this. Also, some people tend to lie about their looks. Telling lies about your physical attributes, job status, social and economic backgrounds, all are complete nonsense. And do not play with your photo. Do not retouch your photo to look better and thereby attract a person wrongly. This will not actually serve your purpose in the end. All these lies will be revealed sooner or later.
Most of us are shy about taking the first move. But sometimes you too can take that first step in approaching a prospective date. If you do not get much response even after you registered with a popular dating web site and created an impressive online profile, try taking initiative in contacting a person you desire for.
