Vinewood Ave. Railroad Crossing Malfunction, 4/23/08
This is a video of the Vinewood Ave. crossing malfunction on April 23, 2008. Conrail’s signals were malfunctioning. The island circuit was detecting something that wasn’t there. He adjusted the motion sensor and that took care of it. The crossing features GRS LEX-C plastic lights, a Safetran mechanical bell that needs to be adjusted, as it isn’t working properly, and a WCH mechanical bell that will need adjusting soon, as it sounds weak. I shook the mast with the bell that was clicking, and it rang nicely.
